Nema Aluku is leading the World Renew response to Health and HIV in Eastern and Southern Africa. Nema works with staff by developing and providing technical support to the design and implementation of regional and country health (including HIV) programmes in East and Southern Africa. Nema provides technical assistance and support to staff by integrating health and HIV response programming into holistic community programs with partner organizations throughout both regions through consultation, networking and training.
Nema has a bachelors degree in Community Development from Daystar University (Kenya), a Masters of Arts in Rural Sociology and Community Development and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Nairobi (Kenya). As well as speaking English, Nema is also fluent in Chichewa, Kiswahili, and Bemba. Nema joined World Renew in 2005.
