Troy Sanon, a US citizen, was born in Haiti and completed his elementary and secondary education there. His father was a pastor, so he grew up in a rich faith community and faith in Jesus was at the center of his life.
At 16, he moved to the US, where he worked and continued his studies, primarily with a focus in business administration; he holds a doctorate in business administration with concentration in strategic management and social capital. Over the years, Troy has worked for various businesses and non-profit organizations in both the US and Haiti. After a devastating earthquake shook Haiti in 2010, he requested time off from his position in New York to volunteer as a translator for medical teams aboard the USNS Comfort. In 2011, he moved back to Haiti and has worked in community development as a country program manager and social business coordinator.
He brings extensive experience in program monitoring and evaluation, as well as project management.
