Skilled adults are needed to help a large number of families across six counties repair their homes. Hurricane Michael was one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the United States. Construction will take several years.

Scope of Work

Volunteers could help in all phases of construction such as roofing, drywall install/finish, painting, trim, flooring, etc

Accommodations and Meals

There are three possible housing options which are spread out due the wide spread damage area. Where you stay will depend on need and availability. The housing in Laguna Beach and Miracle Valley have beds. In Panama City, there are cots. Volunteers need to bring own bedding (pillows, sleeping bags). There are plenty of restrooms and showers at all locations.

There is a commercial kitchen with pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Your group will need to supply and prepare your own meals.

RV hook-ups may be available depending on the date and situation

Cost

$0-$10 per person per night depending on where you stay. Your group is responsible for all costs associated with your trip. World Renew DRS does not charge for arranging group mission trips.

Skill Level Requirement

This site prefers skilled adults groups.

Tools and Materials

Groups can bring own tools if they prefer, or tool trailers will be provided on the job site. If your group would like to take your own tools, please mention this during the planning stages of your trip. Materials will be supplied. If your group would like to donate building materials for the project, that would be great, but it is not a requirement.

What to Bring

Must bring bedding and/or sleeping bag, towels, and personal toiletries. A general list of what to bring can be found in Preparing to Serve.
