Our Water Challenge

Hello! We are a Grade 2 class within the Edmonton Public School Board in Alberta, Canada.

We are challenging our school & community to be Justice Seekers and Community Builders through our Water Challenge!

We want to to raise enough funds to purchase wells and water pumps through World Renew.

The challenge begins Monday, February 27. All proceeds need to be in by March 16th.

Each well and water pump costs $437.00, which means if all 24 classes donate $17 each, we will be able to purchase one pump.

Our school goal is to raise enough funds to build four wells and water pumps in Cambodia, Malawi, Mozambique, and Guatemala. If this goal is reached, our Principal, Krista Mulder will color her hair blue for the Celebration of Learning.

Additionally, at a national level, we are learning about the water crisis in 71 First Nations communities. We are writing letters to government officials to ask them to join us in making a difference in our world by addressing this issue.

Let's act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God! (Micah 6:8)

You are invited to accept the challenge!

Let's make a difference, one drop at a time!
