This is in response to August 2016 flooding.
Massive flooding damaged 90% of the homes in Denham Springs. Click here to read about David’s experience during the flood. Hundreds of families need help with home repairs. There are 1,000 homeowners within 15 miles of where you will stay who could use your help.

- Skillset needed: Home repair/reconstruction experience is helpful, but not required.
Scope of Work
General reconstruction, remove and replace sheetrock, insulation, trim, roofing/siding, electrical, plumbing, and flooring.
There is a local construction coordinator who will assign work projects that are appropriate to the size and skill level of your group.
Generally high school age and up. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Skill Level Requirement
It is helpful to have a couple of people with construction experience in your group, but this is not required. The local construction coordinator will provide guidance on work projects.
Accommodations and Meals
Your group will stay at a camp that has a maximum capacity of 25 people per week. The following meals will be provided for you: breakfast Monday – Saturday, lunch Monday – Friday, dinner Sunday – Thursday night.
$168/person/week and includes the above-mentioned meals. The fee is payable to the local organization in Denham Springs. Your group is responsible for all costs associated with your trip. World Renew DRS does not charge for arranging group mission trips.
Tools and Materials
The local construction coordinator will provide and coordinate tools and materials. Skilled tradesmen are encouraged to bring their own tools if possible. Please discuss this with the local construction coordinator during the planning process.
What to Bring
Must bring a sleeping bag, towels, and personal toiletries. A general list of what to bring can be found in Preparing to Serve.
