VolunteerHammond, Louisiana - DRS Reconstruction Site
A response flooding in March and August 2016.
The parish in which Hammond is located (Tangipahoa) was hard hit by flood waters in 2016. In November 2016, and at the request of the parish, World Renew conducted an unmet needs assessment to help make sure those at risk of falling through the cracks after the flooding were not forgotten. In January 2018, a long-term reconstruction site opens and will provide consistent volunteer reconstruction labor to repair damaged homes.
