CAN I MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Absolutely. Because when we each give to change the story of poverty, the families whose lives we touch have the chance to change the world. You can join that story today. As a thank you, World Renew will send you our quarterly issue of Free a Family stories, keeping you connected with the inspiring families whom you come alongside everyday.

Meet our Representative Families

The Safaris: Kenya

Kadzo is a single mother of five and grandmother of two. She is a strong and determined provider; farming and selling produce, herding her animals, and investing in her land. She’s also learned to rebuild after floods. Free a Family has given Kadzo the resources to till her land, pay school fees, save for a permanent home that can withstand disasters, and diversify her business and crops. Thanks to Free a FamilyR, the Safaris have found a new beginning. Want to follow their journey?

The Maraks: India

Martha is mother to two boys and two girls. From sharing laughter and working next to each other on that week’s school assignments, to praying aloud to welcome each day, Martha’s children are her greatest joy. The Maraks have been a part of Free a Family for three years and, in that time, they have seen both joys and trials. With Free a Family’s support, Martha has completed her sewing skills training, applied for a government grant to construct a weaving room by her house, and purchased her first piglet to begin establishing her pig farm. Thanks to Free a FamilyR donors like you, Martha is finally able to dream about a brighter future.

The Nyriendas: Zambia

Sandress and Loyce and their children are two of many Zambian families who participate in Free a Family. As farmers, they feel the impact of climate change acutely. Because of devastating drought, getting food on the table for their children has only gotten harder. Still Free a Family brings hope. Thanks to regular support, the Nyriendas and many other families in Zambia are eating better, producing more crops, staying healthier, and improving their economic stability.

The Delices: Haiti

Jean Felix and Manette parent four children. Due to erratic weather conditions and health issues, the Delice family has struggled to meet basic needs. By partnering with Free a Family, they are now hopeful. This fall, they will finally return to Port au Prince in the aftermath of the earthquake. They hope this return home will bring better opportunity and provide their son, Fender, the medical attention he needs. You get regular updates on the Delices when you support Free a Family.

The Gyangs: Nigeria

Nvoou Gyang and her four children have encountered great trial and loss, most significantly the death of Nvoou’s husband, who was killed in 2014 as a result of armed attacks. Free a Family is honored to walk with Nvou, her sons, and many of the other families in central Nigeria. Your monthly gift helps free these families from violence, poverty, and insecurity.
