This Holy Saturday, World Renew kneels with the Navajo and Zuni people for a Family Weekend of Prayer.
In response to the threat of COVID-19, which has hit both the Navajo and Zuni nations particularly hard, Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez has declared Easter weekend as a time of family prayer “to encourage families to pray together for family members, neighbors, health care workers, governing officials, and those who are sick, and the families who have lost loved ones due to COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation.”
Would you consider joining us with your family for a time of prayer today?

Would you consider joining us with your family for a time of prayer today?
Pray with your hands for our Native American brothers and sisters who do not have running water in their homes and cannot always wash their hands to fight the virus.
Pray with your feet for the brave Native American researchers, healthcare workers, police officers, and first responders who leave their homes each day to help bring safety and care to others.
Pray with your hearts for the devastating number of Navajo and Zuni people who have fallen sick with COVID-19. Pray for the scared and hurting families of those who have passed away.
Pray with your mouths to speak blessing and courage to the sisters and brothers who long to gather this weekend and celebrate our Risen Lord.
And as we close together, may we remember that we are bound to our Navajo and Zuni brothers and sisters as one body with one Spirit who has called us to one hope, one faith, and one baptism (Ephesians 4). We draw towards one another through our one Lord, who on a Sunday morning conquered death.
Today, Holy Saturday, we wait for you, Lord Jesus. Come quickly.
