Disasters impact people’s lives every year. They cause serious disruption in already-struggling communities, especially when people’s homes are severely damaged. Recovery often takes months, even years.
Give new life to communities impacted by disaster by supporting the work of World Renew Disaster Response Services.
How We Help
Disaster Clean Up
Following disaster, volunteers muck out flooded homes, remove downed trees, complete repairs, and tarp roofs.
Needs Assessment
Next, volunteers conduct community surveys to determine the long-term recovery needs of vulnerable survivors.
Home Repairs
In the months and years after a disaster, World Renew DRS staff and volunteers help rebuild survivors’ homes for the long term.
Our Partnerships
We come together to help communities rebuild after disasters like hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes. We believe our partnerships make us stronger and help us to better support the needs of those who need assistance the most.
Our partnerships with local long-term recovery organizations help strengthen their capacity, creating a strong network that can respond effectively to the local community’s needs.
We also partner with churches and their volunteer networks, such as the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA), the Reformed Church in America (RCA), and the ECO Presbyterian Church, so that we can provide the right support at the right time to communities affected by disaster.
Help Rebuild After Disasters
Disasters can strike anywhere at any time. The damage and destruction that is left after a disaster can be felt for weeks, months, and even years. Over the last 52 years, World Renew DRS has responded to the needs of 469,797 disaster-affected families and repaired over 9,709 damaged homes.
Give today to help us respond to the next disaster.
