World Renew holds firm in the conviction that we are all image bearers of God and are deserving of dignity, protection, justice, mercy, and love. We humbly seek to follow in the footsteps of Jesus who taught us: “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)

Since the outbreak of the Israel-Gaza crisis, World Renew has been responding alongside trusted humanitarian organizations working on the ground to deliver emergency supplies in Gaza, where civilian needs grow by the day. Through our involvement in the Integral Alliance network, we have successfully supported shipments of life-saving medical supplies to Gaza.

Meanwhile, this unrest in the Middle East also impacts the already tenuous situations across the region, including in Lebanon. And people in Syria still reeling from over a decade of civil war and the earthquake one year ago continue to experience profound hardships.

As one partner in the region shared, “Every day we hear stories of drones falling in different regions here. Every time there is a new challenge for the people: the war, the blockades… and now these [continuing] regional tensions.”

Despite overwhelming security challenges, including the recent loss of humanitarian workers, we continue to provide support to our trusted partners in the region. We grieve, we pray for peace and the release of hostages, and we continue to pray that food, water, and other necessities can be delivered to prevent the further loss of civilian lives.
