World Renew is deeply grateful to all those who not only read such haunting words, but also responded by reaching out to help. You did not forget those living in Aleppo, and your actions have demonstrated God’s love and care for them. Through the generosity of hundreds of donors across Canada and the United States, over $100,000 USD was raised. Now your generous gifts will allow World Renew to continue its work of meeting the needs of the vulnerable Syrian families.
Through the generosity of hundreds of donors across Canada and the United States, over $100,000 USD was raised.
Plans are in place for World Renew to assist in providing 2,500 people in Aleppo with food boxes for three months and a winterization kit to help make it through the cold Syrian winter. This project is being implemented through the Fellowship for Middle Eastern Evangelical Churches (FMEEC) and the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD).
For those living in Aleppo, years of conflict have made reasonably priced food impossible to find. With less food available, prices have skyrocketed and many families are unable to afford the increasing prices. This food assistance will ensure that some of the most vulnerable families have food on the table.
In the coming weeks and months, please continue to keep the people of Syria in your prayers. The needs remain enormous and your donations are still very much needed. Every dollar that you give will enable World Renew to reach out to even more Syrian families that are in need.
