As the conflict in Ukraine continues, World Renew is supporting displaced families with emergency food and essential items. We are working to assist families in Ukraine and in surrounding countries who have been tragically affected by this crisis.
Our Work in Ukraine
After two years of unrelenting conflict in Ukraine, millions of people are struggling to meet their basic needs and many families remain displaced. According to the United Nations, an estimated 4 million Ukrainians are internally displaced with 6.5 million refugees scattered across the globe.
Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022, World Renew has been working with partner organizations through our global humanitarian networks to respond to the needs of vulnerable families. Together, we are providing food, medical support, and other essential items for people in Ukraine—and for those who were displaced to surrounding countries.
How Your Gifts Make a Difference
So far, donors like you have helped 613,753 people through World Renew by providing temporary shelters, emergency food, and other essentials like blankets, linens, mattresses, and basic hygiene items.
In Romania and Poland, we helped to provide vital medical support by supplying health packs that were used by local health centers.
In central and eastern Ukraine, people have received emergency food and other relief items, while other families in conflict-affected regions are receiving cash assistance to support their emergency food needs.
And generosity like yours is helping provide medical care to Ukrainian refugees in Moldova where 89% of refugees are women and children. Thank you for your compassion and support as together, we respond to the needs of vulnerable families.
