As we reflect on the past 50 years, we are humbled by the lessons on effective disaster response and community transformation. We are humbled by the amazing levels of support that we have received from primarily the Christian Reformed community, but more and more, partners around the world.
As we continue to respond to the needs of poverty, injustice, and war, we commit ourselves to continue to be a learning organization committed to the holistic development of communities, whether the programs are in response to disasters or whether they are focused on the long term transformation of communities in poverty.
We renew our commitment to principles of community transformation, to the involvement of the church, ensuring a wholistic message to building the capacity of our staff, partners, and communities to the collaboration with our partners in alliances and networks around the world and to be the change agents worthy of being called Christ’s ambassadors.
