World Renew Prepares to Host Ride to Renew Cycling Fundraiser Event
October 28, 2025 — World Renew is gearing up to host Ride to Renew, a peer-to-peer fundraising event where cyclists will bike across Florida to help raise funds for global farmers.
From November 1-8, more than 30 riders will cycle from the beaches of Clearwater to the dunes of Canaveral National Seashore. Each rider has been working to raise $3,000 to equip 15 global farmers with training in sustainable farming solutions that will help achieve food security for their families and communities.

“At World Renew, we’ve seen how God can work in the lives of families who have been robbed of health and opportunity by hunger,” said Bob Dekker, World Renew’s interim director of donor relations US. “Through their own hard work, bolstered by many caring supporters, God is doing amazing things. The riders, donors, volunteers, and staff involved in Ride to Renew are playing an active part in God’s transformative story in the lives of farmers around the world.”
Ride to Renew cyclists will travel close to 250 miles from coast to coast. Lodging will consist of hotels and inns along the route, and volunteers and local churches will support cyclists during various stops throughout the journey.
Among this year’s riders is Jane Brouwer, a Grand Rapids native who has participated in various cross-state and cross-country bike tours. For Brouwer, Ride to Renew represents a unique blend of some of her biggest passions—poverty relief and cycling. “It is life-changing to ride with others who have some of your same passions and to talk to people along the way about the work that World Renew is doing,” Brouwer said.
