Severe storms and tornadoes over the last week have devastated communities in the Midwest. The outbreak of tornadoes—with wind speeds up to 165 mph—affected communities in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa, resulting in the loss of five lives and damaging or completely destroying homes.

As government officials and volunteer organizations—including World Renew Disaster Response Services—begin to coordinate recovery and rebuilding efforts, we will offer our skills and expertise to help those most in need.

With existing partnerships in the area, World Renew DRS is poised to respond with volunteer clean-up services to help homeowners clear debris, tarp roofs, and meet other immediate needs. We are also monitoring the storm damage to assess how best we can help survivors in the long term.
